Langstaff selected to Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters Colorado
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Inc. (Big Brothers Big Sisters)
welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors.
At a meeting on Feb. 7, the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors
elected: Margot Langstaff, managing partner and co-owner, LifeHealth; and
Steve Foster, president, Business Controls Inc.
Langstaff, a Harvard educated clinician, Army veteran and successful
entrepreneur, has spent 35 years in multiple areas of the health-care system.
Her experience includes serving in the military as a medic in the U.S. Army and
as the clinical manager of Yale New Haven’s Hospital Surgical Trauma Unit. She
went on to manage and staff the first modern operating room/outpatient clinic
in Haiti.
Building on her business experience, she transitioned into sales and
marketing of pharmaceuticals at Shering Plough and then went on to clinical and
business management of vascular graphs at GoreTex. Langstaff took her strong
clinical and business foundation and transformed them into her own successful
business. She is now known as an expert in designing and starting successful
companies that help people meet tough challenges related to health care.
Steve Foster is board certified in security management and in case
management for internal investigations. Foster has spoken throughout the United
States on various topics regarding security and was a consultant for the ADT
University for Alarm and Security Equipment professionals.
He has worked with many organizations in the development of corporate ethics
and compliance programs, facility security manuals and emergency plans. He is
also the senior editor for the security newsletter, SecurityNewsletters.com.
Prior to entering the business world Foster was a law enforcement officer where
he received over 20 awards and medals for bravery and heroism.
“We are very excited about the addition of these two accomplished leaders to
our Board,” said Dave Stalls, president & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters
of Colorado. “They each bring unique talents and perspectives, and both will
support our mission in helping Big Brothers Big Sisters impact young lives.”
