• Influenza

  Influenza – This is an annual vaccination offered starting in October through January. We are a Medicare certified company and we accept Medicare part B as payment as well as several other commercial insurers.

• Tetanus (Tdap)

  Tetanus, Diphtheria, Whooping Cough – This vaccination is given in childhood and a booster is required every 10 years. Tetanus, (lockjaw), diphtheria and whooping cough are all serious diseases. Tetanus and diphtheria can be deadly. Recommendations: everyone should be up to date on this vaccination.

• Hepatitis A & B

  Hepatitis A – This vaccination is given in a series of 2 doses, 6 months apart. This series is done once in a lifetime. Hepatitis A is transmitted in the stool of a person infected with it. Recommendations: This vaccination is recommended for persons traveling outside of the USA, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and Western Europe. It is also recommended for men who have sex with men, illegal drug users, employment that involves working with HIV infected animals or human, and a diagnosis of either liver disease or clotting factor disorder.
  
  Hepatitis B – This vaccination is a series of 3 doses at 0, 1, and 6 months. This series is done once in a lifetime. Hepatitis B is transmitted in blood and body fluids. This disease affects the liver and may cause liver failure and death. Recommendations: This vaccination is recommended for everyone.

• Mantoux Testing & Readings for Tuberculosis

  PPD Mantoux Testing – Recommendations: all health care workers should be tested annually.

• Meningococcal

  Meningococcal – This vaccination is recommended as part of childhood immunizations at age 2, with an additional vaccination to boost immunity at age 18 or in the event of a community outbreak. Meningococcal disease is an infection of the brain and spinal cord and often leads to brain damage and death. Recommendations: This vaccination is recommended for everyone.

• MMR (Measels, Mumps & Rubel la)

  MMR: Measles, Mumps, and Rubella – This vaccination is given in a series of 2 in child hood, with an additional vaccination to boost immunity at age 18 or in the event of a community outbreak. Measles is a serious illness that can lead to death. Mumps can lead to deafness, meningitis, infertility and rarely death. Rubella or “German measles” causes fetal birth defects if a pregnant woman is exposed to it. Recommendations: This vaccination is recommended for everyone except pregnant women.

• Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

  Human Papillomavirus (HPV) – This vaccination is given in a series of 3 doses at 0, 1, and 6 months. This vaccination is a new vaccine approved in 2006 for the prevention of genital warts, a sexually transmitted disease. HPV is the leading cause of cervical cancer. Recommendations: This vaccination is for females ages 11 to 26. It should not be given to pregnant women.

• Pneumonia (Pneumococcal)

  Pneumonia – This vaccination is given for the prevention of pneumonia and protects against the most common strains. When this vaccination is given before age 65, it should be repeated in 5 years or at age 65. Recommendations: this vaccination is recommended for adults with chronic health conditions and every age 65 and older.

• Shingles Zoster

  Zoster – This vaccination is for the prevention of shingles. Shingles is a painful medical condition that can result in long term nerve pain. Shingles can occur anywhere on the body, but most often occur on the torso or face. Recommendations: this vaccination is recommended for adults with chronic health conditions and every age 65 and older.

• C-reactive protein

  C-reactive protein is a test that measures the amount of a protein in the blood that signals acute inflammation .  C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) assay, is available to determine a person's risk for heart disease. Many consider a high CRP level to be a positive risk factor for heart disease. However, is not known whether CRP is merely a sign of cardiovascular disease or whether it actually plays a role in causing cardiovascular problems.
